Fee-only investment advisory · India
Good advice, compounded.
WiseGro is a fee-only investment advisory firm. You pay us one transparent fee — we earn no commissions, no referral income, and nothing from product manufacturers. Every plan we build answers to your goals, and to no one else.
Illustration only. Not a representation, projection or promise of returns.
About the firm
A new firm, built on old‑fashioned principles.
WiseGro Investment Advisors India Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated with a simple conviction: the person who pays for financial advice should be the only person the adviser works for. In India, most "advice" is still a sales pitch in disguise — funded by commissions, trail income and targets. We chose the other model.
We operate as a fee-only investment adviser under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013. That means a written agreement, documented risk profiling, suitability-tested recommendations, and a fee you approve before we begin. No products to push. Nothing to sell you except judgement.
We are new as a company — and we treat that as an advantage. No legacy tie-ups to protect, no distribution arm to feed, and every client relationship built the right way from day one.

WiseGro is led by Mr. Shantanu Awasthi, an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience across Indian and global financial markets. Through a distinguished career he has held multiple leadership positions — CEO of Dubai operations, Head of Family Office, and Product Head with oversight of assets under management exceeding ₹25,000 crore.
He brings deep expertise in wealth management, family-office advisory, global investment structures and cross-border financial solutions, supported by longstanding relationships across the Indian financial ecosystem — including direct engagement with the CXOs of leading mutual funds, asset management companies and wealth management institutions.
That institutional discipline — the rigour large pools of capital demand — is exactly what WiseGro applies to every client's plan, whatever its size.
What we do
Advice for every stage of the plan.
One engagement covers your whole financial life — or we can start where it matters most today.
Goal-based financial planning
A written, prioritised plan for your goals — emergency reserves, home, education, retirement — with the savings rate and asset allocation to reach each one.
Investment advisory
Suitability-tested recommendations across mutual funds (direct plans), equity, debt and government schemes — matched to your risk profile, not to anyone's targets.
Retirement & financial independence
How much is enough, by when, and how to get there — corpus estimation, withdrawal strategy, NPS/EPF integration and inflation-tested income planning.
Portfolio review & rebalancing
A candid audit of what you already hold — cost, overlap, tax drag and risk — with a clean-up roadmap and rules for when to rebalance.
Insurance & risk analysis
Needs-based term and health cover analysis — how much protection your family actually requires, and which policies to keep, port or drop. We sell none of them.
NRI advisory
Cross-border planning for NRIs and returning Indians — repatriation-aware allocation, NRE/NRO structuring and India-linked goal funding, coordinated with your tax adviser.
How we work
A process you can hold us to.
Four stages, in order, every time. Each one produces something you can read, question and keep.

The commission model
- "Free" advice, paid for invisibly through product commissions and trail income
- Products that pay the seller more tend to get recommended more
- Regular plans quietly cost more every single year you stay invested
- Churn and "new fund" pitches are rewarded; patience is not
The WiseGro model
- One flat fee, agreed in writing before the engagement begins
- Direct plans and low-cost instruments — the savings stay in your portfolio
- Advice documented, suitability-tested and auditable under SEBI's IA rules
- Our only incentive to keep you as a client is advice that works
FAQ
Fair questions, straight answers.
What does "fee-only" actually mean?
It means the fee you pay is our only income from the relationship. We do not distribute financial products, so we earn no commissions, brokerage, referral fees or trail income from mutual funds, insurers or anyone else. If a recommendation benefits us in any other way, we are obliged to disclose it — but our model is built so that situation simply doesn't arise.
Will you handle my money or take control of my accounts?
No. We are advisers, not custodians. Your investments stay in your own demat, bank and folio accounts, in your own name, under your own control. We tell you what to do and why; you (or your authorised platform) execute. Never transfer funds to us or to any employee for investing.
Do you guarantee returns?
No — and under SEBI regulations, no registered investment adviser may promise assured or guaranteed returns. Anyone who does is breaking the law and should be reported to SEBI. What we commit to is a disciplined, documented process and advice given solely in your interest.
I already have investments. Can you just review them?
Yes. A portfolio review engagement audits your existing holdings for cost, overlap, risk and tax efficiency, and gives you a prioritised clean-up plan. Many clients begin here and move to a full plan later.
How are you regulated?
We operate under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, supervised through the Investment Adviser Administration and Supervisory Body (IAASB, administered by BSE Ltd.). That framework mandates risk profiling, suitability assessment, written agreements, fee limits, record-keeping, an annual compliance audit and a formal grievance mechanism — all of which we follow and disclose on this site.
How do we begin?
Book a free introductory call. We'll understand what you need, explain the engagement and fee in writing, and share our standard advisory agreement and disclosure documents. You decide in your own time — the first conversation carries no obligation.
